Cell Phone Lookup Believes in Second Chances
When Eva was in college, she was in love with the popular Sam. It was the kind of romance that sizzled hot, then fizzled cold when she saw him making eyes at other girls. She broke it off there and then, not one to wait until he breaks it off with her. She married, divorced and had now-grown children. Her daughters knew the story of that seemingly long-forgotten romance, but they knew Sam broke their mother's heart long ago.
Eva set her grocery bag on the kitchen counter and went to hang up her coat. Her cell phone began to ring. She was irritated, because she had to prepare dinner and didn't have time for calls now, but she glanced at the Caller ID and sank into the nearest chair. It was Sam, HER Sam. How? Why? This was such a coincidence! Just the other day she found herself in front of the computer, contemplating a cell phone lookup on Sam. How did he know?
She answered. He said he heard about her divorce and wanted to talk. He wanted to apologize for the way he'd treated her, back when he was still an insecure boy who was afraid she was too good for him. He said he'd used a cell phone lookup to find her number and he knows where she lives, and if she would only give him a chance, he could pick her up right now, and they could go for coffee and talk face to face ...
She knew then it was a sign; she was being given another chance she'd never hoped for. She didn't believe in coincidences: the fact that they both thought of using cell phone lookup to find each other again was enough of a sign for her. Coffee sounded so good just about now.
